Stay in God’s rest – Hebrews 4:3-11 4 Let us therefore fear, lest, a promise being left us of entering into his rest (a place of rest; implies a final rest), any of you should seem to come short (having failed) of it. 2 For unto us was the gospel preached, as well as unto them: but the word preached did not profit them, not being mixed (blended, united) with faith in them that heard it. 3 For we which have believed (absolute belief) do enter into rest (a laying down, implies final rest), as he said, As I have sworn in my […]

[00:00:01] Good morning. Good morning. How are you on this fine, fine, beautiful day? I hope you're having a great day today. I hope you are excited today. [00:00:10] Today is the day the Lord hath made. We will be glad. We will rejoice in it. Rejoice in every single moment that you have under the sun in this cosmos, in this arrangement. Be thankful, be happy, continually give God that sacrifice. Praise. Praise him and thank him and be joyful. So I've been working on this inheritance thing and to be an heir and the sonship, all this stuff. And I usually get into it, into the Word, about it at a six. So I like to. If you want to study the Word, I like to go to Blue Letter Bible. I pick out a word, let's say wisdom. I type in wisdom. And every single verse that comes up under wisdom, I'll read it and I'll go through and work out what it means to be wise or to have wisdom. And that's kind of what I've been doing with this inheritance thing. But you can take it to another level where you go in and there's this theological dictionary that it will go through every single word or every single Greek word in the New Testament and Old Testament, but it'll go through and give you the history of the Word and what it means. And so I've been working this out and working on it, and I gotta be honest with you, it's great to do that. [00:01:16] But if you want the truth, as soon as I go, like I said, I'm reading this theological dictionary or whatever. As soon as you go back to the Word and start reading the Word, it is so much better. [00:01:26] It is so much better. [00:01:29] It's alive and it works with you. And I'm just. [00:01:33] I just implore you to read, take time and read the Word. If you're having a problem, let's say with finances, go in there and look up equity. Go read, read stuff about prosperity and equity and all the things that God has for you. If you're having a problem with relationships, or maybe you get angry, easy. Look up contentions and strife and go through the Word and see how to control mind when it comes to that. [00:02:01] Everything in the Word is here. God has this stuff for you available now. And when you really start to read it and start to go to it and focus on it, it starts to work and activate in you. A reframing of your mind. And I just love that. Renovation of the mind, reframing your mind. [00:02:21] You can look at a house, and a house looks a certain way. But when you walk inside of a house, the interiors of the house, God tells you to reframe it. Renovate the interior of your house, of your mind, of your thoughts. And you do that through the Word. [00:02:36] And it's just a blessing to me. [00:02:39] Anyways, I was reading in Hebrews, and I don't even know why. I mean, I was. [00:02:43] This will be interesting. But when you hear people talk about, like, what's the point of life? I know what the point of life is. [00:02:50] It's easy, because God talks about striving to enter into his rest, the rest day of God. That's all it is, where you idle from your own works. And if you go to Hebrews, chapter four, it talks about this a little bit. Verse three, it says, for we which have absolute belief do enter into his rest. Enter into rest, as he saith. If I have sworn in my wrath, if they shall enter into my rest. Although the works were finished from the foundations of the world. For he spake in a certain place of the seventh day on this wise. And God did rest on the seventh day from his works, all his works. If you read the beginning in Genesis, it talks about, in the first six days, he created the heavens and the earth and man. The seventh day he rested. [00:03:36] And he rested because you get to see the labor, the fruit of your labor. [00:03:41] I mean, right now we're in the middle of changing warehouses, and it's a whole upheaval. And I know anybody that's done this, it's just. It's ridiculous. So we're in the middle of moving our entire operation to another building. Look, I. I had a really good life going on. I had a nice little rhythm. So we're moving all this stuff over. It's a complete, you know, thing. [00:04:00] And I'm a little worried about it because I like the lifestyle. But once it all gets put together. [00:04:07] You work so hard, but do you actually get to see the benefits and fruits of how hard you've worked? To sit back and stop and look and watch? And God does that. The seventh day. And we are to take the seventh day of rest. But to enter into that rest, you have to have absolute belief. [00:04:26] The chaos that goes in through your life, like you're going to have tribulations, trials and tribulations, and it happens all over the place. [00:04:34] To be able to rest and to not be fearful in those times, to enter into God's rest where you cease from your works, where I. You know, I'll go over really quick, verse 9. There therefore remaineth a Rest day to the people of God. For he that is entered into his rest, into God's rest he hath idled or ceased from his own works as God did from his own. Let us labor therein to enter into that rest, lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief. [00:05:03] We're to work to enter into a day where you can rest from your own works as God did from his own, and be idle in your work and just watch what God does. [00:05:14] We are not to be fearful in this life. You're not to be anxious. You're not to think on anxious things. You know how easy it is to spin out. I just did this yesterday. I was spinning out about something that I ran into. [00:05:27] We're not. You're not to live your life in a. In a constant state of anxiousness. My, one of my believer friends, he's going through a thing right now where his business is down now. He can sit there and spin out, but what does he do? He talks about how God's got to take care of the situation. There's a rest for, for him because he's not living in fear. [00:05:50] Although he can let his mind go, he's not allowing his mind to do that. He goes back to God and works with God and prays to figure out how to get this thing together. [00:06:00] Where do you go in times of trouble? Where are you going? [00:06:04] Are you going to like X or are you going to the news? Or are you like. Where are you going to get to calm your mind, to calm your thoughts? [00:06:13] You got to go to the Word. You have to have a relationship with God and the things that he says. [00:06:19] Grace, which is that loving disposition, God's love towards you, the fact that you've been chosen and called for no reason at all outside that he loves you and he's our inheritance. [00:06:30] Grace and peace, which is the state of undisturbed well being will fill you up in the instrument of that through the instrument of the epignosis. Having a true and personal relationship with God, where you hear from God and you hear his voice, that's what's going to fill you up. That's the instrument that will bring you peace. That's the instrument where you get to see the grace that you stand in that loving place that God has for you. You can't do it alone. It's a spiritual state and you can't have it unless you believe in the name of Jesus Christ. [00:07:04] It's the way it goes, it's the way it is and it's the truth. [00:07:09] Pray the big prayers today. Lift everything up in the name of Jesus Christ. Again, when you pray, you always pray to God, lifting it up in the name of Jesus Christ with thanksgiving. I always forget that part. You pray with Thanksgiving. Thanking God for the things that he's done for you, the things that he's doing for you, the things he's going to do for you. And have a beautiful day. [00:07:28] Have a great day today. God bless you and your family. I'll talk to you tomorrow. And where that foghorn blows, I will be coming home. [00:07:42] Well, Heavenly Father, thank you so much for today. I pray for my shoulder, my back. I don't get all that back in there just for the safety and well being of my dad getting home and today that we can just knock out everything that needs to get done. I thank you for getting my brother back to. Back to normal and I just pray for his full recovery. Father, I thank you again for the moments that you, you provide us, the things that you do for us and that today is a just a good day and the things that need to get done gets done. I, I thank you for the opportunity of my life and yeah that you just protect me. I lift everything up to you in the name of my Lord and Savior Christ Jesus. Sam Sa.
