[00:00:01] Good morning. Good morning. How are you? How you been on this fine, fine, beautiful day? I hope you're having a great day today. I hope you are excited today because today is the day the Lord hath made. We will be glad. We will rejoice in it. Rejoice in every single moment that you have under the sun in this cosmos, in this arrangement. Be thankful. Be happy. Continually give God that sacrifice. Praise. Praise him and thank him. Be joyful. It's been a week since I've done one of these. I think something like that, maybe since, like, Wednesday kind of took the time off. And I'm just thankful for God. I'm thankful for what he gives and what he's given to me. And hopefully you had a great year and you're looking forward to next year. If not, knock on that door, go to God, talk to him. So I was working on prayer, and I had had one of my buddies ask me about this. And so I've been working on it, and I did a teaching and fellowship yesterday about it. But I'm going to do kind of an abridged version today. If you go to Revelations, chapter three, verse. Let's see here. Chapter three, verse 20 says, behold, I stand at the door and knock. If any man hear my voice and open the door, I will come into him and will sup with him, and he with me.
[00:01:14] I just love this. God's waiting on you.
[00:01:17] And the minute you knock, he's there. The minute you open that door, he's there.
[00:01:22] And he is a loving father man. He loves you. And if you.
[00:01:26] I don't know if you're lost or if you're just kind of waiting. He's waiting on you.
[00:01:31] It's not that you're waiting on him, if that makes any sense.
[00:01:34] God's ready to go. He's ready to roll. Once you believe in the again, believing in his son, God's son, Jesus Christ, that he's our Lord and Savior, and he was risen from the dead. Romans 10, 9, 10. That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in thine heart, that God raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. That's the safety and salvation and your preservation. It's immediate.
[00:01:56] You're there. He's there with you. God's there with you. At that point, you have a brother just working in you.
[00:02:02] Now, to go to pray, there's two different words. There's pray and then there's ask. Ask. Now, I'm not great with Greek words, but it's Something like aedo or something like that. But it's to entreat, to beg and to supplicate. Now this supplicate means personal need. It's asking for something, a personal need.
[00:02:20] It also implies an inferior asking, a superior. It's not equal.
[00:02:26] We're asking God. God is most definitely superior to us.
[00:02:30] But again, there's asking, which is supplicating, but then there's prayer. And that's speaking out loud, which I think is super interesting. You can ask something or you can pray. And asking, I'm assuming, is more in your mind. Praying is the manifestation, it's asking out loud.
[00:02:50] Now with that being said, if you go to Matthew, chapter 7, verse 7, it says ask it shall be given. You ask, supplicate a prayer or ask of something of a personal need.
[00:03:04] Ask and it shall be given. You seek and ye shall find, knock and it shall be open unto you. For everyone that asketh, receiveth, and that is receiveth that which is given. That's that word lombano.
[00:03:19] For everyone that asketh, receiveth or takes what is given. And he that that seeketh, findeth, and to him that knocketh, it shall be open. Now again, this receiveth, it's based on what God giveth.
[00:03:32] This whole thing about manifesting, manifesting like, you know, putting a picture out there, manifesting that you're going to get what you receive. That's not how it works. I mean, it might work spiritually in the negative way, but it's not from out from God.
[00:03:46] God's going to give you what God wants you to receive, what he wants you to take.
[00:03:51] That's what the word lombano means. But if you're asking, it's going to be given unto you based on God's will.
[00:03:58] It's important to understand and to know that if you go to Matthew, chapter 21, verse 22, it says, and all things whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer. And this prayer again is to pray. It's a speaking out, it's uttering out loud, believing ye shall receive, or lumpano. And again, it's received that which is given. There's an ellipsis there, an ellipse. It's a figure of speech and it's scientific. You can't just add this stuff. It's specific. It's supposed to read in all things whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing ye shall receive it if it be his will.
[00:04:43] It's all about what God gives you. But I think it's interesting you're to supplicate you're to ask something, a personal need in prayer, which is out loud.
[00:04:53] And then on top of that, you're to believe it. And believe is to be fully convinced, self surrendering, fully assured, or having an unwavering confidence.
[00:05:06] I am unwavering when I pray. And I ask God to take care of things, knowing that he's gonna take care of it according to his will.
[00:05:14] It's not about us.
[00:05:17] It's about surrendering, knowing that God's taking care of it. And there's one more verse, and I'm not going to go over, but the Lord's Prayer, one of the things he prays about is to not be led into temptation. But that word temptation is trial.
[00:05:32] The trial of your faith is the most important thing. That's. I don't know exactly. I think it's in the beginning of Romans or something.
[00:05:39] But he's asking God not to lead him into a trial, which I think is so interesting.
[00:05:45] It's tribulation worketh. Patience, patience, experience and experience hope. And hope will never cause you shame.
[00:05:54] There's little things you pray about in life, but you got to know. If you pray, you speak them out loud and you pray to God. It's never to Jesus Christ.
[00:06:04] It's to God knowing and believing that of God you will receive whatever it is he's going to give you. And God knows what's best.
[00:06:14] We live in a beautiful time. It's just getting your mind wrapped around what is the truth of the Word and believing, having full assurance what that truth is. There's one truth. We are to be workmen for the Word and it is what it is.
[00:06:29] Pray the big prayers today. Lift everything up in the name of Jesus Christ. Again, when you pray, it's always to God, lifting it up in the name of Jesus Christ. The words are important. Have a great day today. God bless you and your family. I'll talk to you tomorrow.
[00:06:55] Well, Heavenly Father, thank you so much just for what you do and how you do it. I thank you for the specificity of your word and how it matters. And I thank you for your believers and all the holy ones, all the saints out there that you take care of them and bless them. I thank you for the new year coming and that the last during Christmas is a blessing for everybody. I just ask you for your continual, just your continual hand in every situation. I thank you for the writing on the palms, all that stuff. It's just. You're just a great God. I thank you for today. I thank you for your son and what he did for us. And I lifted it all up to you in the name of my Lord and Savior, Christ Christ Jesus.
