[00:00:02] Speaker A: How are you? On another fine, fine, beautiful day. Hope you're having a great day today. I hope you are excited today because today is the day the Lord hath made. We'll be glad. We will.
[00:00:13] Speaker B: Rejoice in it.
[00:00:14] Speaker A: Rejoice in every single moment that you have under the sun in this cosmos, in this arrangement.
[00:00:19] Speaker B: Be thankful. Be happy.
[00:00:20] Speaker A: Continually give God that sacrifice.
[00:00:22] Speaker B: Praise.
[00:00:22] Speaker A: Praise him and thank Him.
[00:00:24] Speaker B: Be joyful.
[00:00:26] Speaker A: It's another day in the neighborhood. I was reading this morning and I'm gonna go back to an old one. I read this verse and I thought, you know, it's a good time to talk about be anxious for not one thing. But if you go to Second Corinthians, chapter 7, verse 6, it says nevertheless that God comforteth or calls aside or appeals to those that are cast down or lonely or are lowly.
He, he cover. He lifts up those that are cast down, he calls aside. He comforteth us.
There's another verse in there that talks about how he speaks to your heart
[00:01:00] Speaker B: when you're going through things like he'll speak to your heart to calm you
[00:01:03] Speaker A: down in all thy ways. Acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy path. God is there to comfort you, not to. Not to slap your wrist, not to. Not to attack you.
He's there to comfort you, and he knows every hair on your head.
That's why I love. I love Philippians. I love going over the be anxious for not one thing verse. It changes your whole. It changes the whole dynamic of what you can think about in your life when you're going through it. If you go to Philippians, chapter 4, verse 4, it says, Rejoice. And this says, be delighted or be pleased in the Lord, in Christ Jesus, always. And again I say, rejoice. Let your moderation be known. And that's experientially known unto all men. The Lord is at hand. Be anxious or careful for not one thing, but in everything by prayers. And these are. This word is specific. It's prayers to God and supplication, which are prayers of personal need. With thanksgiving, let your specific request be made known or declared unto God. And this is specific for a particular need.
You let God know a particular need you have in your life, specific with the sacrifice of thanksgiving, but as prayers to God of personal need.
Verse 9, verse 7. Once you pray and the peace of God, and this is the state of undisturbed well being, that spiritual peace of God, surpassing all understanding or thought, shall keep or guard or garrison your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus Now, a couple things are interesting here.
You have guarding. There are troops that would go out and attack, and there are troops that would guard this. This word troops is for a garrison. It guard. It's the guarding troops. God's peace will gu and it will surpass the thoughts from essentially yourself. If you've ever started thinking about something that's negative, it snowballs.
It starts off with maybe, oh, I can't pay the bills today. And then, well, what happens if I can't pay the bills? Well, I'm going to be evicted. And what happens if I'm evicted? Well, then I'm going to be. Then I'm going to be cast out on this. I mean, where it goes in your mind is wild.
But God's peace, surpassing thought, surpassing understanding, surprise spiritually, will protect you from those thoughts.
And then it tells you what to think about.
Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, which is the opposite of false. Whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are dignified or honest, whatsoever things are just or righteous or upright, whatsoever things are lovely or dear to anyone, whatsoever things are pure, and that's pure from defilement. If there be any virtue, if there be any praise, think on these things.
You have to renovate your mind and choose what you think about.
Do you stay on the negative or do you think about good?
In all thy ways, acknowledge him and he shall direct thy path.
All things work together for good to those that love God, to those that are called according to purpose. When you're going through it, everything's going to work together for your benefit. But you have to renew and renovate your thoughts to that. I want to finish up with this. If you go down to verse 11, it says, not that I speak in respect of want, for I have learned in whatsoever state I am therewith to be content, sufficient or to be sufficient in oneself.
When you're going through it, are you content?
It's a mindset. It's a mind state. You got to change your mind. And that's what's beautiful about the Word. You have God behind you. There's nothing to fear. Be anxious for not one thing. You're not to allow yourself to be anxious. You got to change your thoughts, think on good, and know that God's with you. Have a great day today. Pray the big prayers. Lift everything up in the name of Jesus Christ. When you pray again, always to God, never to Jesus Christ. You pray to God with that sacrifice of thanksgiving, lifting it up in the name of Jesus Christ. Have a great day. God bless you and your family. Talk to you tomorrow.
You know I will be coming home.
[00:05:33] Speaker B: Well, Heavenly Father, thank you so much for today. I thank you for just getting us over the hump and just for everything that you do. I pray again for my brother's hand, for full function, for full healing, for full strength back in it, and that he can feel everything. I thank you for the change in the business that you continually work, that change. For everything that we need to get
[00:05:52] Speaker A: out, that it gets out, that you
[00:05:53] Speaker B: show me what to do with everybody we work with, that if just whatever, whatever you need, whatever I need to do, that you just show me that path, make it very, very clear. Open those doors. Close those doors. I thank you again for the calmness of my spirit right now that you've protected me through all this stuff. I pray for each and every one of your believers, that you take care of them, that you bless them. If there's anything that I need to do that you put that on my heart. I thank you so much for your word and how much of a peace it brings. And I just lift up a great day to you in the name of my Lord and Savior, Christ Jesus.
