God’s working with you – 2 Corinthians 7:8-10

2 Corinthians 7:8-10

⁸ For though I made you sorry (grieved) with (by) a letter, I do not repent, though I did repent: for I perceive that the (that) same epistle hath made you sorry (grieved), though it were but for a season.

⁹ Now I rejoice, not that ye were made sorry (grief), but that ye sorrowed (grieved) to repentance (a real change of mind from sin itself; change of moral thought : from sin nature to spiritual nature; alway for the better): for ye were made sorry (grieved) after a godly manner, that ye might receive damage (suffer loss) by us in nothing.

¹⁰ For godly sorrow (grief) worketh (to work out) repentance (a real change of mind from sin itself; change of moral thought : from sin nature to spiritual nature; alway for the better) to salvation not to be repented (regretted) of: but the sorrow of the world worketh death.
