Love and forgive – 1 John 4:4-8
Ye are of (out from the origins of) God, little children (natural descendants, term of endearment), and have overcome (victorious) them: because greater (by measure or stature) is he that is in you, than he that is in the world (kosmos: the arrangement).
They are of the world (kosmos: the arrangement): therefore (on account of this) speak they of (out from) the world (kosmos: the arrangement), and the world heareth them.
We are of (out from the origins of) God: he that knoweth (ginosko: experiential knowledge) God heareth us; he that is not of God heareth not us. Hereby (From this) know (ginosko: experiential knowledge) we the spirit (Christ’s pneuma) of truth (truth of character or relation), and the spirit of error.
Beloved, let us love (spontaneous love) one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God.
He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love.
