We are righteous in God’s eyes – Romans 10:9-10
Romans 10:9-10
10 Brethren, my heart’s desire and prayer to God for Israel (them) is, that they might be saved.
2 For I bear them record that they have a zeal (to boil, seethe, vehement passion) of God, but not according to knowledge (epignosis: being acquainted with).
3 For they being ignorant (not to understand, not to perceive) of God’s righteousness (the doing or being what is just and right), and going about (seeking) to establish (cause to stand) their own righteousness, have not submitted themselves unto the righteousness of God.
4 For Christ (the messiah) is the end (fulfillment or completion) of the law for (motion to) righteousness to every one that believeth (to have faith).
8 But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word (specific spoken words) of faith, which we preach;
9 That if thou shalt confess (agree, admit) with thy mouth the Lord Jesus (Jesus as Lord), and shalt believe in thine heart (the seat of life, the starting point, organ of concentration) that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved (made sound, preserved safe).
10 For with the heart man believeth (it is believed) unto (motion to) righteousness; and with the mouth confession (it is confessed) is made unto (motion to) salvation.
