Renew or renovate your mind - Colossians 3:1-2, Colossians 3:12-14

Colossians 3:1-3

3 If ye then be risen (were raised) with Christ, seek (endeavor to find) those things which are above (high calling), where Christ (the messiah) sitteth on the right hand of God.

2 Set your affection (mind) on (remaining within) things above, not on things on the earth (land as distinct from water).

Colossians 3:12-14

12 Put on (like a tee shirt) therefore, as the elect (chosen) of God, holy and beloved, bowels of mercies (subjective compassion: felt on witnessing mis fortune), kindness (sweetness in disposition, inspire of gratitude), humbleness (modesty) of mind , meekness (enduring all things with an even temper), longsuffering (long before anger) ;

13 Forbearing (to hold up) one another, and forgiving one another, if any man have a quarrel (complaint, occasion to blame) against any: even as Christ forgave you, so also do ye.

14 And above all these things put on charity (love), which is the bond (that which binds) of perfectness (completeness, that which has reached its full and intended end).
