Desire: An emotion or excitement of the mind, directed to the attainment or possession of an object from which pleasure, sensual, intellectual or spiritual, is expected

Proverbs 3:13-15

13 Happy is the man that findeth wisdom, and the man that getteth understanding.

14 For the merchandise of it is better than the merchandise of silver, and the gain thereof than fine gold.

15 She is more precious than rubies: and all the things thou canst desire are not to be compared unto her.

Proverbs 13:12, 19

12 Hope deferred maketh the heart sick: but when the desire cometh, it is a tree of life.

19 The desire accomplished is sweet to the soul: but it is abomination to fools to depart from evil.

Proverbs 21:25

25 The desire of the slothful killeth him; for his hands refuse to labour.

Ecclesiastes 6:9

9 Better is the sight of the eyes (for what's seen thereby) than the wandering of the desire (for what's pursued thereby): this is also vanity and vexation of spirit.
