You have the ability, right now, to control your thoughts - Romans 7:4-6

Romans 7:4-6

4 Wherefore, my brethren, ye also are become dead (were put to death) to the law by (motion to) the body (crucified body) of Christ; that (to the end that) ye should be married to another, even to him who is raised (roused from sleep) from the dead, (in order that) that we should (may) bring forth fruit unto God.

5 For when we were in (remaining in) the flesh (carnal nature), the motions (sinful motions) of sins, which were by the law, did work in our members to bring forth fruit unto death.

6 But now we are delivered (to make useless, void) from the law, that being dead wherein we were held (having died (to that) in which we were held); that (so that) we should serve (do service) in newness of spirit (new spiritual nature), and not in the oldness of the letter.
