God’s light shines in you – 2 Corinthians 4:3-6
2 Corinthians 4:3-6
4 Therefore seeing we have this ministry, as we have received mercy, we faint (to lose one’s courage, to turn out a coward) not;
2 But have renounced the hidden things of dishonesty (shame), not walking in craftiness, nor handling the word of God deceitfully; but by manifestation (revealing or unveiling) of the truth commending (to represent as worthy) ourselves to every man’s conscience (conscience of men) in the sight of God.
3 But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost (perishing):
4 In whom the god of this world (aion: age) hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light (illumination) of the glorious gospel of Christ (the messiah), who is the image (the likeness or resemblance which is meant to be found in the image) of God, should shine unto them.
5 For we preach not ourselves, but Christ Jesus the (as) Lord (Christ); and ourselves your servants for (on account of) Jesus’ sake.
6 For God, who commanded (spoke) the light (underived and absolute) to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light (the illumination) of the knowledge (gnosis – experiential knowledge) of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.
