17 That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the (a) spirit of wisdom and revelation (unveiling, uncovering) in the knowledge (being acquainted with) of him:
18 The eyes of your understanding (mind: the faculty of moral reflection consciousness called into exercise by the moral affections) being (having been) enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches (wealth) of the glory (the unfolded fullness of God being revealed: that which attracts attention) of his inheritance in the saints,
19 And what is the exceeding (surpassing) greatness of his power (inherent power) to us-ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power,
