Reach forth and aim for the mark of the high calling – Philippians 3:10-14
Phillipians 3:10-14
10 That I may know (experiential knowledge) him, and the power (inherent power) of his resurrection, and the fellowship (participation; communion with) of his sufferings, being made (to be or become like form with) conformable unto his death;
11 If by any means I might attain (to come, to arrive) unto the resurrection of the dead.
12 Not as though I had already attained (received), either were already perfect (perfected): but I follow after, if that I may (also) apprehend (lay seize on, lay hold of) that for which also I am apprehended (lay seize on, lay hold of) of Christ Jesus.
13 Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended (lay seize on, lay hold of): but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth (to stretch towards) unto those things which are before,
14 I press (follow after) toward (horizontal motion to including the idea of duration) the mark (an object set up in the distance at which one looks and aims) for (motion to) the prize (prize bestowed on victor in the public games) of the high calling (calling above, calling high) of God in Christ Jesus.
