Ephesians 4:3-9
3 Even so (so also) we, when we were children, were in bondage (enslaved) under the elements (elementary rules) of the world (kosmos):
4 But when the fulness (of which it is full) of the time was came, God sent forth his Son, made (came into existence) of a woman, made under the law,
5 To redeem (to buy out) them that were under the law, that we might receive (in full) the adoption of sons (sonship).
6 And because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit (new spiritual nature) of his Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father.
7 Wherefore thou art no more (no longer) a servant, but a son; and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ.
8 Howbeit (but - marking opposition) then, when ye knew not God, ye did service (in bondage, enslaved) unto them which by nature (in genus - natural source of origin, kind) are not gods (false gods).
9 But now, after that ye have known (experientially known) God, or rather are known (experientially known) of God, how turn ye again to the weak and beggarly (destitute and in want) elements (elementary rules), whereunto ye desire again to be in bondage (enslaved)?
Ephesians 5:1, 13-14
5 Stand fast (stand, stand firm) therefore in the liberty (freedom to go where one wants) wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled (be held by anything) again with the yoke of bondage (servitude).
13 For, brethren, ye have been called unto liberty (freedom to go where one wants); only use not liberty (freedom to go where one wants) for an occasion (opportunity) to the flesh, but by love serve one another.
14 For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this; Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
