[00:00:01] Good morning. Good morning. How are you on another fine, fine, beautiful day. I hope you're having a great day today. I hope you are excited today because today is the day that the Lord hath made. We will be glad. We will rejoice in it. Rejoice in every single moment that you have under the sun in this cosmos, in this arrangement. Be thankful, be happy, continually give God that sacrifice of. Praise. Praise and thank him. I woke up super late, super late. So I'm just. I kind of just jumped in here. Read a little bit of Ecclesiastes, which, if you.
[00:00:35] If you ever want, just quick nuggets of information. Ecclesiastes and Proverbs is where I like to jump. So today I went to Ecclesiastes, chapter 5, verse 1. It says, Keep thy foot when thou goest to the house of God. And be more ready to hear or obey than to give sacrifice of fools. For they consider not that they do evil.
[00:00:55] When you go, when you're listening to this stuff, listen and do what it says.
[00:01:01] It's so much better to do that than to just go and to show up and just kind of, you know, whatever. Do the sacrifice fool. Like when they sacrificed, it was always for the. For sin offerings or for some sort of sacrifice of.
[00:01:16] I don't think. I can't think of the word right now. But the point is that it's not about going there and showing up and sacrificing. It's about listening to what God says and obeying those things that he says unto us, keeping them in your mind, renovating your thoughts. Verse 2. Be not rash with thy mouth, and let not thine heart be hasty to other anything before God. For God is in heaven and thou upon the earth. Therefore let thy words be few.
[00:01:43] Goes back to that listening. Listen to God, man. Listen to what he says. Do the things that he tells you to do. And we're all. I mean, thank God that Christ came in order that we don't have to live under the servitude of the bondage, which is servitude to the laws. You don't have to have. You don't have to carry out the Sabbath. You don't have to not work on Sunday. You can choose to, but you don't have to. It wasn't law. It's not required.
[00:02:08] It's not required to be upright in front of God. What's required is believing in the name of His Son. And the minute that you believe in the name of Jesus Christ, you're righteous.
[00:02:18] You are, you are Considered upright in God's eyes. And there's nothing that you can do to change that.
[00:02:24] But actually listen to what he says. Even godliness. Godliness is not the ceremonial. It's not the outward expression. It's not going to those ceremonial services. It's not going to church. It's not going and doing what it is. It's the inward expression, having that true and personal relationship with God. That's godliness. At least the Greek word for godliness. Verse 2. For a dream cometh in the multitude of business. And a fool's voice is known by the multitude of words.
[00:02:55] And I think about this like the more you speak.
[00:02:57] A fool is known by the multitude of words. You got to be careful how much you talk. And the crazy thing is I personally talk a lot.
[00:03:07] And I go through ways where I feel bad about talking too much. You know what I mean? It's not a good thing. I'm not all happy about it sometimes. Be quiet.
[00:03:17] Verse 3 or verse 4. When thou. And this is one that's super important.
[00:03:22] When thou vowest a vow unto God, defer not to pay it. For he hath no pleasure in fools. Pay that which thou hast vowed. It's better that. Better is it that thou shouldest not vow than that thou shouldest vow and not pay.
[00:03:37] I did this once stupidly. I paid the vow. But I don't know why I started in the first place. So dumb.
[00:03:45] But if you're going to vow unto God, if you tell God, I'm not going to go to the grocery store ever again. Don't go to the grocery store.
[00:03:54] Because if you do go to the grocery store, you're a fool.
[00:03:58] You're a fool in God's eyes. You might be a son, but you're still a fool.
[00:04:03] Verse 6. Suffer not thy mouth to cause thy flesh to sin or to miss the mark.
[00:04:08] So don't. Don't allow your mouth to say something to God to miss that mark in front of God's eyes.
[00:04:16] Neither say thou before the angel or the messenger that it was an error. Wherefore should God be angry at thy voice and destroy the work of thine hands?
[00:04:25] Now this destroy is to confiscate.
[00:04:28] To confiscate. Because again, it is what it is, what's his.
[00:04:32] Everything in this life, everything in this world is what's his. Just take back what he gave man. I mean, it's just.
[00:04:40] It's incredible. The severity, but also the just, the grace and the honesty of God.
[00:04:46] He is so good to each and every one of us. And I keep going back to this pray thing because I've been reading a lot about pray. To pray is to ask or to speak out loud. And you can ask, but then when you receive, you're going to receive. Lombano. You're receiving, you're receiving whatever it is that's giving.
[00:05:04] Pray that you'll receive it or receive whatever it is that God gives you. Like God gives you so much stuff, and when you pray, he takes care of so much stuff. If you have a problem. I was just talking last night with somebody who's talking about smoking. She asked God for her to stop smoking, and God took care of it. Anything in your life that you want, you ask. And you just gotta sit back patiently knowing that it's gonna happen.
[00:05:28] God always, always, always comes through.
[00:05:32] There's just a couple more places I want to read today before we. Before we wrap this thing up. If you go to verse eight, and this is the one that I always think about. If thou seest the oppression of the poor and the violent perverting of justice, and this is the purpose of cause, the violent perverting of judgment and justice in a province, be not astonished or be astonished not at the matter.
[00:05:58] I mean, if you see. You see how much evil's all over the place. But you don't have to, like, dwell in that thought all the time.
[00:06:05] If you, if you see that, that violent perverting like, of a city where you're just like, man, how evil is that city? You just pray about it, lifting it up in the name of Jesus Christ and giving it into God's hands and letting it go. Because if you live in that misery of thought all the time, you're going to be a miserable person.
[00:06:24] So he thinketh as he is, you are what you think about that is your heart, the seat of your distinctive character. And I want to finish up with this. If you go to verse 10. He that loveth silver shall not be satisfied with silver, nor he that loveth abundance with increase. This also is vanity. The thing that you love you're never going to be able to get enough of. And you have to recognize that, because usually you're driven by the thing that you want.
[00:06:51] But if you know that you're never gonna stop being driven by that thing. Calm your mind down. You gotta enjoy life.
[00:06:58] There's nothing better than to eat and to drink and to make your soul enjoy the good of your labor. Make yourself enjoy life. Make yourself enjoy the good of the things that you worked for. Enjoy what you eat, enjoy what you drink. It's the simple things in life that cause the most pleasure.
[00:07:14] Have a beautiful day today. Pray the big prayers lift everything up in the name of Jesus Christ. When you pray that word prayer is always to God, not to Jesus Christ. It's praying out loud to God, lifting it up in the name of Jesus Christ with thanksgiving. Have a great day. God bless you and your family. I'll talk to you tomorrow.
[00:07:40] Well, Heavenly Father, thank you so much for today. I just pray for a great day. There's a lot going on. I ask that you sort it out and get it all together so that the things that need to get done, get done. I also pray for the calmness of spirit that you show me clear direction concerning the new business and just how to either market that or how to get in the people that need to get in to make it successful. I also want this gym finished. I thank you for everything that you do for us and for the moments of my life. I pray and lift up to you a great day today. I thank you for your son, what he did, and I lift all of it up to you in the name of my Lord and Savior Christ Jesus.
