[00:00:01] Good morning. Good morning. How are you on this fine, fine, beautiful day? I hope you're having a great day today. I hope you are excited today because today is the day the Lord hath made.
[00:00:13] We will be glad. We will rejoice in it. Rejoice in every single moment that you have under the sun in this cosmos, in this arrangement. Be thankful. Be happy. Continually give God that sacrifice. Praise. Praise him and thank Him. Be joyful. If you pray today, just a couple prayers I'd like you to pray for.
[00:00:29] You wouldn't be so kind.
[00:00:31] First, for my sister to get home safe from the South Sudan. It's a whole thing.
[00:00:36] And then also there's somebody that I work with or not work with, but we do fellowship together with Antonio. If you just pray for him to.
[00:00:46] Either God opens that door or closes that door. When it comes to him getting into the military, he's trying to get an exemption. And the thing is, is that what's so beautiful about God and what I am so appreciative of, is when you want something and you go after it, you pray to God that He opens those doors or he closed those doors, and you're thankful regardless what happens. Even if. Even if it doesn't come to pass, even if it's something that God shuts down because there's a reason.
[00:01:13] And ultimately, I mean, I'll. I remember there's a very specific time when we were just inches away from getting this building. We were going after this building. We were going to have to move to get it. It was downtown in this small town, like we were after it as a family, and God closed it down. And, man, it just completely changed the trajectory of what we were doing and where we were going. And I look back and thank God we did not get that building. And if you understand that God wants what's best for you, he knows your heart, he knows the things that you want, and he's going to get you to the place where you want to be without all the conflict going to him, knowing that some things get shut down. Some things are not best, but some things are. So if you could pray for Antonio, that'd be fantastic now. And my sister. Definitely my sister.
[00:02:01] So today I was reading in Colossians, and this is one of those things that I've been working on in the Word. I just. There. There's something that's kind of thrown me off to the point where I'm having a hard time teaching. I'm just, like, obsessed with this one thing, and I don't want to go through it. But I was reading this today, and this blessed me. If you go to chapter three, verse one of Colossians, it says, if ye then be risen with Christ, endeavor to seek those things which are above where Christ sitteth or the Messiah sitteth, on the right hand of God, set your affections remaining within things above, not on things remaining within the earth. For ye died and your life is laid up in conjunction with or right next to Christ in God.
[00:02:46] If you think about spiritual things and you wrap your mind around it, it's not about the five senses, it's not this world.
[00:02:53] It's about setting your affection to God, and these things shall be added unto you. And I convict myself for this most definitely. Because I get up in the morning, I read, you know, I pray, I fellowship with God, then I do the teaching. And then. And then work starts, you know, Then my mind switches to work. And I work until I go to bed or, you know, until whatever time I stop and. But it's in those moments that you got to glorify God. You got to remember that God's taking care of it and putting this stuff in your mind.
[00:03:23] All things work together for good to those that love God, to those that are called according to purpose.
[00:03:28] Praying. Knowing that if you come up with. If conflict comes your way during that day, if anxiety comes your way during that that day, knowing that you can renew and renovate your thoughts to what the Word says, and setting your affection on things above, because that's where true peace comes from.
[00:03:46] Verse 4. When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then we shall appear with him in glory.
[00:03:52] Mortify, therefore your members which are upon the earth. And then it goes through and lists all the things that come from the carnal nature.
[00:04:00] Fornication, uncleanness in ordinance, affection, evil, desire, concupiscence and covetousness or wantonness, which is idolatry. And it goes down, it says, but now put off these things. And then it goes to verse 10.
[00:04:13] And have put on the new. Well, actually, you know what I'll do. Verse 9. Lie, not one to another, seeing that ye have put off the old man or the old nature with his deeds. Verse 10. And have put on the new man, which is renewed with motion to epignosis, having a true and personal relationship with God after the image of him that created him.
[00:04:37] You have to put on the new man and seek to have the relationship with God. And if you don't know the word, it's a little difficult to do that if you haven't renewed your thoughts and understand what you have in this life. It's difficult to do it. And that's why I implore everybody read.
[00:04:54] It's going to change your world. It's going to change your life. And the Spirit will. When you read the Word, you don't need a teacher. The anointing that you have will teach you these things.
[00:05:05] You read it for you, and you start to revolve your mind around those types of things. Put on Therefore, at verse 12, as the elect of God for beloved bowels of mercies, kindness, modesty, or humbleness of mind, meekness, long suffering, forbearing or holding up one another and forgiving one another. If any man have a quarrel against any, even as Christ forgave you, so also do ye. And above all these things, put on love, which is the bond of perfectness.
[00:05:36] You got to put love on in your life. You got to forgive people, you got to think on the good. You got to be humble.
[00:05:42] All these things we're to do and to set our affection on more than the things that come naturally, which is, you know, leads to death. It's not always the great stuff.
[00:05:52] If you're going through a stressful time in your life, pray. And when you pray, you pray out loud.
[00:05:58] Pray out loud to God. Let him know what's going on in your life.
[00:06:02] Pray. Lifting it up in the name of Jesus Christ. When you pray, then these are prayers of personal need.
[00:06:09] Pray to God, never to Jesus Christ. You don't pray to Jesus Christ, it won't go anywhere. You pray to God. Lifting it up in the name of Jesus Christ. There's a reason why God set the whole structure the way he did with thanksgiving. Be thankful for the things God's given. You have a phenomenal day today. Again, pray. The big prayers. Lift everything up in the name of Jesus Christ. God bless you and your family. I'll talk to you tomorrow.
[00:06:44] Well, Heavenly Father, thank you so much for today. Again, I pray and lift up the situation with Addison, that you get her home and with Antonio, that you take care of him and whatever needs to happen. That situation that happens. And you know that you open that door, close that door, and just a tremendous time for that. I thank you again for my family and for everything that's going on. I thank you for helping me become more and more of a man when it comes to dealing with situations, and I'm thankful for that. And I just thank you for each and every one of your believers, that you take care of them, that you bless them, that you show me kind of the steps.
[00:07:19] I also pray for the other business, that whatever needs to happen with that, that you open up that door and for Todd and that you just take care of him. And just for a great day today, I lift everything up to you in the name of my Lord and savior Christ Jesus.
