2 Peter 2:9, 12

9 The Lord knoweth how to deliver (rescue) the godly out of temptations (a putting to the test, proof, trail), and to reserve the unjust unto the (a) day of judgment to be punished:

12 But these, as natural brute beasts, made to be taken and destroyed, speak evil of the things that they understand not; and shall utterly perish in their own corruption;

1 Corinthians 10:13

13 There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.

Galatians 5:1

5 Stand fast (stand, stand firm) therefore in the liberty (freedom to go where one wants) wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled (be held or by anything) again with the yoke of bondage (servitude).
