Be diligent and walk with integrity - Proverbs 10:1-5, Proverbs 10:9
Proverbs 10:1-5
10 The proverbs of Solomon. A wise (cunning) son maketh a glad father: but a foolish (stupid, silly) son is the heaviness of his mother.
2 Treasures (a depository: cellar, armory, store-house) of wickedness profit nothing: but righteousness delivereth from death (the place or state; fig. pestilence).
3 The Lord will not suffer the soul of the righteous to famish (to hunger): but he casteth away (repels) the substance of the wicked.
4 He becometh poor (to be destitute, lack, needy) that dealeth with a slack (deceitful) hand: but the hand of the diligent (gold (as mined), trench (as dug)) maketh rich (to grow rich, accumulate).
5 He that gathereth (harvest) in summer (the dry season) is a wise son: but he that sleepeth in harvest is a son that causeth shame.
Proverbs 10:9
9 He that walketh uprightly (in integrity) walketh surely (boldly assuredly): but he that perverteth his ways shall be known.
