Change your mind and focus on God - 2 Peter 2:9-12, 1 John 3:1
2 Peter 2:9-12
9 The Lord knoweth how to deliver (rescue) the godly out of temptations (a putting to the test, proof, trial), and to reserve (keep an eye upon, maintain) the unjust unto the (a) day of judgment to be punished:
10 But chiefly them that walk after the flesh in the lust (sinful desire) of uncleanness (a dyeing, hence pollution, stain, taint), and despise government (dominion). Presumptuous (daring) are they, selfwilled (assuming), they are not afraid to speak evil of dignities glories).
11 Whereas angels, which are (though being) greater in power and might, bring not railing accusation against them before the Lord.
12 But these, as natural (according to nature) brute beasts (unreasonable, irrational) made to be taken and destroyed, speak evil of the things that they understand not; and shall utterly perish in their own corruption (being or being brought into a worse state) ;
1 John 3:1
3 Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not.
