961. You are a new spiritual nature

You are a new spiritual nature - Romans 8:1-10

Romans 8:1-10

8 There is therefore now no (not one) condemnation (judgement against) to them which are in (resting within) Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.

2 For the law of the Spirit (the new spiritual nature) of life (the spiritual law of life) in (resting within) Christ Jesus hath made me free (freed me) from (away from) the law of sin (aberration from the prescribed law) and death (the state of death).

3 For what the law could not do (the impossible things of the law), in that it was weak (wickedness, depraved, evil nature) through the flesh, God sending (having sent) his own Son in the likeness (similitude) of sinful flesh (flesh of sin), and for (as concerning) sin (aberration from the prescribed law), condemned (gave sentence against) sin in the flesh :

4 That (In order that) the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled (accomplished) in (resting within) us, who walk not after (in parallel motion with) the flesh (the old nature), but after (in parallel motion with) the Spirit (the new spiritual nature).

5 For they that are after (in parallel motion with) the flesh do mind the things of the flesh (old nature, carnal nature); but they that are after (in parallel motion with) the Spirit the things of the Spirit.

6 For to be carnally minded (minding the flesh) is death; but to be spiritually minded (minding the spirit) is life and peace.

7 Because the carnal mind (minding of the flesh) is enmity (advert, hatred) against (motion towards) God: for it is not subject (does not submit itself) to the law of God, neither indeed can be.

8 So then they that are in (resting within) the flesh (old nature) cannot please (to be pleasing or acceptable) God.

9 But ye are not in the flesh (old nature), but in the Spirit (new spiritual nature), if so be that the Spirit (new spiritual nature) of God dwell (to inhabit) in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit (new spiritual nature) of Christ, he is not of his.

10 And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit (new spiritual nature) is life because of righteousness.
