Ask remaining within faith – James 1:1-8
James 1:1-8
James, a servant of God and of the Lord Jesus Christ, to the twelve tribes which are scattered abroad, greeting.
My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall (fall as to be surrounded) into divers temptations (trails);
Knowing this, that the trying (testing) of your faith (your tested faith) worketh (effects or achieves) patience (a patient enduring).
But let patience (a patient enduring) have her perfect (full, complete) work, that ye may be perfect and entire (whole in every part), wanting (lacking) (in) nothing.
If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of (from) God, that giveth to all men liberally (in simplicity, with a readiness of heart, without a thought behind, freely), and upbraideth (chide, to scold or reprove) not; and it shall be given him.
But let him ask in (remanning within) faith, (in) nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed.
For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord.
A double minded man is unstable in all his ways.
