[00:00:01] Speaker A: Good morning.
[00:00:02] Speaker B: Good morning. How are you on this fine, fine, beautiful day? Hope you're having a great day today. I hope you are excited today because today is the day the Lord hath made.
[00:00:12] Speaker A: We'll be glad.
[00:00:13] Speaker B: We will rejoice in and rejoice in
[00:00:14] Speaker A: every single moment that you have under the sun in this cosmos, in this arrangement.
[00:00:18] Speaker B: Be thankful, be happy, continually give God that sacrifice prayers, praise him and thank him.
[00:00:24] Speaker A: So this morning I'm in a phase
[00:00:25] Speaker B: right now where I'm working like crazy and I.
[00:00:28] Speaker A: And part of it's self inflicted, part
[00:00:30] Speaker B: of it's not a huge. Actually there's a lot that's not.
[00:00:35] Speaker A: But I'm finding myself getting resentful.
So I was, I woke up this morning and I have these thoughts that
[00:00:41] Speaker B: are just very aggressive.
[00:00:43] Speaker A: And yesterday I was aggressive. My, my general disposition's happy.
[00:00:46] Speaker B: I'm a pretty happy person.
[00:00:49] Speaker A: But the problem right now is that I'm working hard. I'm starting to get. I'm starting to get mad at people that aren't working as hard as I am.
[00:00:58] Speaker B: And on top of all of that,
[00:00:59] Speaker A: I found something that I really want to work on that I believe I'm good at doing.
So I have like this almost like a side of ego and then like where I'm like, oh, I can go in and get this. And then I have this other side of like having to do stuff I
[00:01:14] Speaker B: don't want to do, working really, really
[00:01:15] Speaker A: hard and then getting upset with the people around me.
So this morning I woke up and I was going down that path.
And God does not want that for you. You know, saying God obviously doesn't want that for you. So I'm reading Psalms and I'm just trying to, to get, to get, to read and to get something out of it so that I can throw something out on, on this podcast. And I read this and it just, it just shows you the heart of a great man who loved God. And if you go to Psalms chapter 18, verse 25. Well, yeah, let's do verse 20 says 5. It says, with the merciful or the grateful or the gracious, thou wilt show thyself merciful or gracious, with an upright man that will show thyself upright. With a pure or with the pure, thou will show thyself pure and with the forward that will show thyself forward. Now thinking about this with, with being arrogant because my ego, I can feel it right now, you know, like, I can feel it.
[00:02:18] Speaker B: And I just got hammered on this where my brother wanted me to take
[00:02:22] Speaker A: care of a situation.
[00:02:23] Speaker B: Years ago, I kept saying, it's fine, nothing's going to happen. That's going to happen. And then the mistake happened.
[00:02:28] Speaker A: So by ego, I got myself into a bad situation.
And then on the other hand, like if you. I can feel what. I can see what's going on with me. I try to be reflective of who I am.
God does not want you to be egotistical. God does not want we are to rely on God. That's what he's there for.
That's what his words are there for.
And if you show yourself hardened to God, he's going to be hardened to you.
Not in the sense that he doesn't love you, not in the sense that you're not righteous. But if you're not facing him, if you're not soft towards him, what other alternative is there?
For thou wilt be. Thou wilt save the afflicted people, but will bring down high looks. Thou wilt be, Thou wilt light my candle. The Lord my God will enlighten my darkness. For by thee I have run through a troop, and by my God have I leaped over a wall. As for God, his way is perfect. The word of the Lord is tried and refined. And he is a buckler to all those that trust in Him. He's a shield again. This is David. David was a conqueror. David went out and conquered.
And I loved how he called him my God, not God, my God.
Because he had built a relationship, a true reverence with God and recognized that the goodness of his life came from God, the thing that made him good at a situation. It's not me that's so good at this stuff, right? It's God that provides the. It's God that works with you, to grow you into the person. To be able to do that and to be thankful for God. To exalt you in that way means a lot to God. Obviously. He talks about it all the time. Have reverence, fear before me. I mean, there's so many different things. And it's not fear being scared. It's have reverential awe.
For who is God, save the Lord, or who is a rock, save our God. It is God that girdeth me with strength and maketh my way perfect. He maketh my feet like hinds feet and setteth me upon the high places. And he teaches my hands to war so that a bow of steel is broken of mine arms.
He's given him reverence for teaching him how to be a man of war, how to learn how to fight.
Thou hast also given me a shield of thy salvation. And thy right hand hath holden me up and thy gentleness hath made me great.
Do you think God's helped you in your life? And again, today was just. I was just reflecting on where I.
The haughtiness in my mind right now.
It's neat. It's not about you. It's about you and God. And knowing that God is taking care of you, that God's provided the way that God's brought you through.
And in that time of trouble, it's God that's going to bring you through that.
Like now, in my case, be thankful for the position you put in. Christ died in order for us to be reconnected to God spiritually.
Nobody had that opportunity until Christ died.
Until Christ became the propitiation, the place of the offering, the place where the blood was spilled.
He died in order that you can live reconnected, that you can live spiritually, that you can live out of the enmity that's in us, the direct opposition to God. And walk in a life and set your course of life in a place where God wants you to walk. And it's always in the best for you. The Spirit can't be taken away.
That power from on high can't be taken away because of what Christ did.
Build a relationship with God and have reverence towards God, knowing that God is there for you, knowing what he did in the sense of what he set up in order for us to be reconnected to him.
Pray the big prayers today. Pray the small prayers. You're always to pray. You're to be anxious for not one thing, but to pray. You pray to God, lifting it up in the name of Jesus Christ with that sacrifice of thanksgiving. You never pray to Jesus Christ. It's not.
[00:06:41] Speaker B: It's not.
[00:06:42] Speaker A: Same thing. Have a great day. God bless you and your family.
[00:06:45] Speaker B: Talk to you tomorrow.
[00:06:49] Speaker A: I will be coming home.
[00:06:57] Speaker B: Well, Heavenly Father, thank you so much for everything that you do for us. I pray that everything that needs to get done, that you kind of just walk through everything that needs to get done, that it gets done before I leave and that it's a blessing. I thank you for the people you've surrounded me with. I thank you again for just everything that. That you've put up. And I thank you for this new chapter and how exciting it is in one hand. And I just pray that I can get out of. Out of the.
You know what I'm talking about, trying to get out of it, that I can. To kind of do what I want. I thank you again for the moments. I thank you for my golf game. You get the shanks out?
Yeah. I just pray for a great day. And I just pray for our country and your believers. I lift up a great day to you in the name my Lord and savior Christ Jesus.
