Don’t judge your own self – 1 Corinthians 4:1-5
1 Corinthians 4:1-5
4 Let a man so account of us, as of the ministers of Christ, and stewards of the mysteries of God.
2 Moreover it is required in stewards, that a man be found faithful.
3 But with (for) me it is a very small thing that I should be judged (examined) of you, or of (by) man’s judgment (man’s day): yea, I judge (examine) not mine own self.
4 For I know (am conscience of) nothing (not one thing) by (against) myself; yet am I not hereby (in this) justified (set forth as righteous): but he that judgeth (examines) me is the Lord (Christ).
5 Therefore judge (pronounce sentence) nothing before (in front of place, time, authority) the time (season), until the Lord (the Christ) come, who both will bring to light (make known, publish) the hidden things of darkness, and will make manifest the counsels (determination, resolve) of the hearts: and then shall every man have praise of God.
