Follow the spirit – Galatians 5:13-18

Galatians 5:13-18

¹³ For, brethren, ye have been called unto liberty (the freedom to go where one wants); only use not liberty for an occasion (opportunity) to the flesh (carnal nature), but by (through) love serve (do service) one another.

¹⁴ For all the law is fulfilled (accomplished) in one word, even in (remaining) this; Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself.

¹⁵ But if ye bite and devour one another, take heed that ye be not consumed one of another.

¹⁶ This I say then, Walk in (by) the Spirit (new spiritual nature), and ye shall not fulfil (to make a full end) the lust (sinful desire) of the flesh (carnal nature).

¹⁷ For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit (new spiritual nature), and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary (lie in opposition) the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would.

¹⁸ But if ye be led of the Spirit, ye are not under (beneath) the law.
