God knows what’s going on – Proverbs 20:1-5, Proverbs 20:24
Proverbs 20:1-5
20 Wine (intoxication) is a mocker (one that mocks; to imitate in contempt, to defeat, to ridicule), strong drink is raging (rage, war): and whosoever is deceived (causatively mislead) thereby is not wise.
2 The fear of a king is as the roaring of a lion: whoso provoketh him to anger sinneth against his own soul.
3 It is an honour for a man to cease (a sitting still) from strife (angry dispute, argument): but every fool will be meddling (breaking out).
4 The sluggard (sluggish, lazy) will not plow by reason of the cold (by implication: Autumn or when fruits abound); therefore shall he beg in harvest, and have nothing.
5 Counsel in the heart of man is like deep water; but a man of understanding will draw it out.
Proverbs 20:24
24 Man’s goings are of the Lord; how can a man then understand his own way?
