Jesus Christ is directing you to the love of God – 2 Thessalonians 3:1-5

2 Thessalonians 3:1-5

Finally, brethren, pray for us, that the word (the spoken word as connected to the inner thought) of the Lord (Christ) may have free course, and be glorified (triumph gloriously), even as it is with you:

And that we may be delivered (to draw or snatch from danger) from unreasonable (out of place, out of the way, strange, unnatural) and wicked (evil in nature, bad, ill) men: for all men have not faith.

But the Lord (Christ) is faithful, who shall stablish (set fast, establish) you, and keep (guard) you from evil (evil one).

And we have confidence (faith) in (remaining within) the Lord (Christ) touching (on account of) you, that ye both do and will do the things which we command (charge) you.

And the Lord (Christ) direct (guide) your hearts into (motion to the end) the love of God, and into the patient (patience, as) waiting for (of) Christ.
