Strive and be honest towards men and work – 2 Timothy 2:5
2 Timothy 2:5
2 Thou therefore, my son, be strong (to acquire strength) in (remaining within) the grace that is in (remaining within) Christ Jesus.
2 And the things that thou hast heard of me among many witnesses, the same commit thou to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also.
3 Thou therefore endure hardness (suffer evil), as a good soldier of Jesus Christ (Christ Jesus).
4 No man (one) that warreth (to serve in a war) entangleth (to lay a trap for one’s self) himself with the affairs (a handling any matter) of this life (life as being lived); that he may please him who hath chosen him to be a soldier.
5 And if a man also strive for masteries (contend in the games), yet is he not crowned (a crown of wild olives or laurels), except (if not) he strive (to contend in the mastery of public games) lawfully (according to law and custom).
