1080. Soften your heart towards God - Hebrews 4:9-12

Hebrews 4:9-12

9 There remaineth therefore a rest (rest day) to the people of God.

10 For he that is entered into his rest, he also hath ceased (rested) from his own works, as God did from his (own).

11 Let us labour therefore to enter into that rest, lest any man fall after (remaining within) the same example of unbelief.

12 For the word (spoken word) of God is quick (living), and powerful (strength and effectual in operation), and sharper (more cutting) than (above) any twoedged sword, piercing even (passing through) to the dividing asunder (the act of dividing) of soul and spirit (differentiating between that which is begotten of the flesh and that which is begotten of the spirit), and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner (skilled in judging) of the thoughts (secret motives and emotional revolving of the mind) and intents (what is in the mind, idea) of the heart (the seat of one's distinctive character).
