[00:00:39] Speaker B: So if I didn't text you, I apologize that will. I'm gonna send two out today.
[00:00:43] Speaker A: But I was thinking about.
Well, I haven't been thinking about. I've been reading a lot and it just is. Is starting to connect with me. Christ and what he said and how his words, God, define the New Testament really. The Old Testament stops after Matthew, Mark, Luke and John, and then the New Acts. And then the New Testament is really.
[00:01:04] Speaker B: Romans through the rest of the. The rest of the world, Romans through Revelation.
[00:01:08] Speaker A: But it's just incredible to me how much it changed, how much the law changed. Like we're not under law and. And Christ died in order that you would be freed from law, that now we can live in the righteousness and uprightness with God. But you got to renew your mind. You got to renovate your mind. And when you read the Word, sometimes it gets a little confusing when it talks about being in Christ.
The Word Christ always spoke what God told him to speak.
And there is a renewing and a renovation of the mind. You have to do and you have to change and you got to go to the Word to do it.
When you read the Word, you read it and you put what it says into your mind and you change your thoughts on according to what the Word says. You have to choose the Word and not live in the five senses and what you've experienced. You got to read the Word, trust it, have faith, believe it, start to walk upon it, set your course of life upon it, and you'll start to see the true blessings that God has for you. Because there is a peace that doesn't come from the five senses. That is a spiritual piece. Once you start to really put this stuff in your mind and change your thoughts.
I'm going to go over that a little bit today. If you go to Ephesians, chapter 4, verse 20 says, but ye have not so learned Christ, if so be that ye have heard him and have been taught or instructed by him, as the truth is in Jesus. 22, that ye put away concerning the former conversation, the former manner of life, the old man, that Adam nature which is corrupt according to deceitful lusts.
Now again, when there was a connection that God had with Adam. Adam was body, soul and spirit. When he transgressed against God, the one sin by sin, by one man, sin entered into the world. When he transgressed and he ate that apple, the spiritual side of man died.
So now he's just this flesh and blood, soul and body and soul.
And that's the way man walked, body and soul, body and soul. It wasn't till Christ died, in order that we could be reconciled or reconnected with God. So you put away that former conversation, verse 23, and be renewed. And renewed implies that the whole course of your life now is in a different direction. Be renewed in the spirit of your reflective conscience, the spirit of your mind, and that ye put on like a T shirt. The new spiritual nature that after God is created is in righteousness and of a truth holiness.
The righteousness of God lies in the believing in the name of his Son, Jesus Christ. Once you believe in the name of Jesus Christ, you're reconnected with God. But now you have to choose.
You either can walk, God does not possess. You can walk in the carnal man, in the old man and the old thoughts, or you can be renewed in the spirit of your mind. And that comes from reading the word and putting this stuff in your mind.
Verse 25 Wherefore putting away the lie, speak every man truth with his neighbor, for we are members one of another. I was laughing the other day because I was like, I don't really lie to people. But then I kind of stole an apple from my, my brother and sister in law.
[00:04:29] Speaker B: Now this happened a couple months ago.
[00:04:30] Speaker A: But I kind of stole an apple, you know what I mean? Like I took an apple from him and I, and I like was kind of sneaky doing it, you know, ludicrous. That is.
Like I could have just literally walked over and like, yo, can I have an apple? And like, yeah, no big deal. Oh no, no, no, no, no. I had to be sneaky about it. The carnal man is like that. It's all, you know what I'm saying? Like if I had just asked, it had been fine, I'll keep going.
Verse 26 Be ye angry and sin not, let not the sun go down upon your wrath. How many times do you go to bed at night and you're angry?
You gotta forgive one another. Again, these are not things that just come naturally. This is a renewing and renovation of the mind.
Verse 28. Let him that stole steal no more, but rather let him labor working with his hands the things which is good that he may have to give to him that needeth.
If you're. If you have a tendency to steal, you have to stop stealing. I don't even have that tendency. And I did it. You know what I mean?
Especially. I just think it's funny because I was thinking, oh, I'm so. Like, I'm not really doing anything bad. Well, then I turn around and do that. It's the little things.
If you have a tendency to steal, you have to change your mind and renovate your mind to what the Word says. Don't do it. Not only are you not supposed to do it, you're to work and to labor in order that when you have money, you can give to those people that need it. Let no putrid word or corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth. But that which is good for the use of edifying or the act of building up, that it may minister grace to the hearers. Now, this has to do with, like, being contrary to the Word.
But you edify people and you build them up again. You got to change your mind to what the Word says, and I love this part. And grieve not the Holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption.
It's not always easy to do the right thing and what God wants you to do. The thing is, though you're righteous, you are righteous in front of God, in front of God and before God. It's about the way you act in life at this point.
You can choose to walk in the. In the spiritual nature that's always walking towards life. You're gonna have a better life. It's gonna be better and better and better and better because you're learning to rely on God. Or. Or you can walk in the carnal nature, which you are not going to be condemned for, but there are results of that walk. You're going to have those body and worldly results.
But you got to choose.
You got to choose. And when you choose God and you choose to walk with His Son, and you choose to listen to this stuff and apply your mind to it, it's.
[00:07:09] Speaker B: Going to Change your life 100%. I went a little long today, but.
[00:07:13] Speaker A: Have a beautiful day.
Pray the big prayers lift everything up in the name of Jesus Christ again. When you pray, you pray to God, never to Jesus Christ.
[00:07:20] Speaker B: It doesn't go anywhere.
[00:07:21] Speaker A: You pray to God. You lift it up in the name of Jesus Christ.
[00:07:24] Speaker B: Have a great day.
[00:07:25] Speaker A: God bless you and your family.
[00:07:26] Speaker B: I'll talk to you tomorrow.
Well, Heavenly Father, thank you so much for today and just for everything that's going on. I pray for my brother that he has a safe drive and can get to Chicago and back relatively quick. Father, I thank you for just this sofa. I just want this thing done and that there's no more thought with it and that this whole project goes quickly and easily. And then when we deliver it, it's good and it's calm. Father, I thank you again for the moments of my life, for the little things, for even for last night and just sitting out there on the lake and with the family and everything. I'm just thankful for the moments. And I pray for each and every one of your believers, especially those who work with us, that you just take care of them and bl. And that there's just a goodness, especially within our business. Father and I thank you just for a great day today. I lift everything up to you in the name of my Lord and Savior Christ Jesus.
