[00:00:01] Speaker A: Good morning.
[00:00:02] Speaker B: Good morning.
[00:00:03] Speaker A: How are you on this fine, fine, beautiful day?
[00:00:06] Speaker B: Hope you're having a great day today.
[00:00:07] Speaker A: I hope you are excited today because today is the day at the Lord hath made. We'll be glad. We will rejoice in it. Rejoice in every single moment that you have under the sun in this cosmos, in this arrangement. Be thankful. Be happy. Continually give God that sacrifice.
[00:00:21] Speaker B: Praise.
[00:00:21] Speaker A: Praise him and thank him.
[00:00:23] Speaker B: I was reading this morning and like
[00:00:26] Speaker A: I said, when I go through a subject as deeply as I went through, I need a little break.
But this was really interesting to me today. James, you always have to know who the word is written to.
[00:00:37] Speaker B: And this is written to the 12
[00:00:38] Speaker A: tribes or the beginning of this, but it still is applicable to us. And I just.
I don't know.
[00:00:44] Speaker B: This blessed me.
[00:00:44] Speaker A: If you go to James, chapter one, verse one, it says, james, a servant of God and of the Lord Jesus Christ, to the twelve tribes which are scattered abroad.
[00:00:53] Speaker B: Greetings.
[00:00:54] Speaker A: So it's Talking to the Twelve Tribes of Israel, the Jewish Religion, verse 2. My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience or patient enduring. But let patient enduring have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.
As you go through life, tribulation worketh patience, patience, experience, and experience hope, which is the expectation of future good. And hope will never cause you shame.
As you go through life, you gotta be comfortable in the situations that are trying.
The trial of your faith is the most important thing that you go through. And faith is having a firm conviction or believing specifically in what you hear.
When you hear the Word and you do the Word. I mean, James is literally about acting upon.
Upon your belief, acting upon your faith.
[00:01:50] Speaker B: Actually, though, I mean, I was just reading this.
[00:01:53] Speaker A: If you go to chapter two, verse 18, it says, Yea, a man may say, thou hast faith, and I have works. Show me thy faith without thy works, and I will show thee my faith by my works.
You got to act this stuff out. You got to believe God's going to take care of it. And you have to walk forward by your. By your works, by the things that you produce, the things that you labor, knowing that God's going to take care of every situation.
If you go back to James, chapter one again, James, a servant of God and of the Lord Jesus Christ, to the twelve tribes which are scattered abroad. Greetings, my brethren. Count it all joy when you fall into diverse temptations or trials, knowing this, that the trying of your faith, it works, patience or patient enduring. But let patient or that patient enduring have her perfect work. That you may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.
The patience that you gain from going to God and dealing with it, tribulation, going through those trials and afflictions works or affects your patience, your patience, your experience, because you've gone through it enough and been patient during those trials. Finally, that moves to hope, the expectation of future good.
And that brings you to a point where you want nothing because you know you're in their state of rest, that I was, I was actually going through this yesterday with the men's group. You're in a state of rest because you've ceased from your works. God is going to take care of you completely and in all things, not in some things.
And if you're having those thoughts, shelve them, give them to God, put them in his hand. No matter what's going on in your life, give it to Him.
You'll see the results.
Verse 5. If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God that giveth to all men liberally and abradeth not or doesn't suggest blame for anything, and it shall be given him.
If you don't have faith, or if you lack faith and are questioning your faith, ask God to show you how he will provide. And it might not be tomorrow.
It might be a slow thing, but it might be tomorrow.
It's coming again. Verse 5. If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God that giveth to all men liberally and abradeth not, and it shall be given him. But let him ask in faith. Wave nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea, driven with the wind and tossed. For let not that man think that he shall receive anything of the Lord. A double minded man is unstable in all his ways.
If you're floating back and forth and back and forth and back and forth like tossed to and fro. With every, every wind of doctrine, you got to get focused on one thing. You have to decide what is the truth.
The Word is the truth, period. Because it's spiritual, it's God's word. It cometh from abroad, it cometh from above. It comes by holy men as they were moved by the Holy Spirit or men as they were moved by the Holy Spirit.
[00:05:05] Speaker B: I don't know if it's holy, but
[00:05:06] Speaker A: men that were moved by the Holy Spirit, it's an amazing thing. Once you fall into the rest of God, once you get to the point where you have faith, unwavering faith, believing and having a firm conviction that God will take care of things. Your life will change.
And if you don't have it yet, ask God to show you how.
Pray the small prayers, pray the big prayers. Just let God know what's going on in your life. He will come through. But when you pray, it's always to God, never to Jesus Christ. You pray to God, lifting it up in the name of Jesus Christ with that sacrifice of thanksgiving. Have a phenomenal day today. God bless you and your family. I'll talk to you tomorrow.
[00:05:53] Speaker B: Well, Heavenly Father, thank you so much for everything you do. Again, I pray for everything that's going on, that we can complete everything, and that it's off my plate, there's a lot, and that it's done right. I thank you and pray for just direction.
[00:06:08] Speaker A: As far as what I've been thinking
[00:06:09] Speaker B: about, if it's wrong that you kind of make that apparent, or if it's right that you show me how to accomplish the things that I would like to accomplish. I thank you again for the moments of my life. I always pray for my golf game. I thank you for getting me through the slump of the last three months.
I pray for each and every one of your believers, that you take care of them. And I'm just very, very grateful for your word and what it does for me and how it always blesses me. And hopefully it blesses those that hear it. And I just again thank you for today, that it's a great day and for your son and what he did for us.
