[00:00:01] Good morning. Good morning. How are you on this fine, fine, beautiful day? I hope you're having a great day today and I hope you are excited today because today is the day the Lord hath made. We will be glad. We will rejoice in it. Rejoice in every single moment that you have under the sun in this cosmos, in this arrangement. Be thankful, be happy. Continually give God. Continually give God that sacrifice of praise. He asks us to thank him and to praise him. It's easy breezy because he does so many things. [00:00:32] But today I was just going over Proverbs. Now if you ever want to read little nuggets of information that you can kind of put in your mind and it's easy to listen to, it's easy to digest, Proverbs and Ecclesiastes. Ecclesiastes kind of sets out the way you should live your life. [00:00:48] What to do, what not to do, the things he thought on. I mean, it's really incredible when you start to frame your mind the way he did, Solomon did. [00:00:56] Proverbs are more. Those little nuggets of information. [00:00:59] And if you go to. So this might be a little jumpy, but if you go to Proverbs, chapter 27, verse 2, it says, Let another man praise thee, and not thine own mouth, a stranger, and not thine own lips. [00:01:13] Now if you walk, if you walk spiritually, you're gonna walk towards life. And God tells you not to praise yourself. [00:01:21] Do you praise yourself? Do you talk good about yourself? I do this a lot. It's like a joke, you know, I mean, I do, I do say like, who's the man? Stuff like that as a joke. But in reality, if you truly are one of those who give self praise, it's not a good thing. Let somebody else do that for you. Change your mind, change your ways. If you jump over to, let's see, I just thought I was like this. Verse seven, verse seven. The full soul. The full soul loatheth and honeycomb. But to the hungry soul, and every bitter thing is sweet, to those that are hungry, to those that are. Let's say you're thirsting for knowledge. [00:02:01] Any little bit gets you going. And sometimes I have to change my mind when I'm reading the Word. Because you do. I mean, once you read it a lot, it does. There are days where you wake up and it's like, ah, man, not again. You know, we're being honest. [00:02:15] You gotta, you gotta, you gotta learn to have that hunger for the Word. You gotta learn, learn to have that hunger towards God. [00:02:22] And work on it. It can be just a little bit at a time. [00:02:26] If you jump down to verse 12, this is the verse that my brother was talking about. [00:02:31] A prudent man foresee the evil and hideth himself. But the simple pass on and are punished. [00:02:40] This I applied to my life a lot. When you. When you think about, like, you know, when you used to go party, like I used to party a lot and you knew you shouldn't be going to the party, you knew. Even when, you know, even when I was in college, you knew you shouldn't be going there, but you went. And then bad things happen. And then you wonder why. A prudent man, he foresees the evil, he sees what's going on, he sees that it's going to be bad. Even. It even can go boil down to like going to bed early when you know you got to get up and do something the next day. [00:03:12] It's making the right decisions for seeing the evil and passing by, not even going to it. [00:03:19] Verse. Now this one. I'm not. I'm not calling, I'm not singling out you ladies. This is a really interesting verse. Verse 15. A continual dropping on a very rainy day and a contentious woman are alike. Contentions are the little arguments. [00:03:36] If you find yourself giving a lot of little arguments, stop it. [00:03:41] There's a verse in here, and I don't know where it is that it talks about how strife, which is that huge argument, is like when you open up a dam, when you. When you pop a hole in the water in a dam and a dam just pours out. Leave off contention, leave off the little arguments so that the dam doesn't get full, it doesn't fill the well. [00:04:04] Again, the word is amazing. It works with you. And you. If you start putting it in your mind. If you find out, if you find yourself having huge arguments, arguments in life, then stop the little ones. Stopping the little ones will stop the big ones. It's biblical verse 17. Iron sharpeneth iron. So a man sharpeneth the face or the countenance of his friend. [00:04:27] Make your friends equal, make them be of equal stature, make them be better than you. [00:04:33] You want people around you that are going to raise the bar, not lower it. [00:04:38] Who are you and what type of friend are you? [00:04:42] If you jump over to verse chapter 28, verse 23, he that rebuke, rebuketh, and this is having a sharp criticism of a man. Afterwards shall find more favor than he that flattereth with the tongue. [00:04:59] This is not easy to do, to have sharp criticism or rebuke of someone. At least for me now with my family, easy, breezy. But with others that are screwing up, it's a harder thing for me unless I know you. [00:05:13] This is better than flattering with the tongue. [00:05:16] And it doesn't matter what you think about it. It's biblical. So if you think, oh, no, no, no, no. Flattering helps. Well, it doesn't. Doesn't long term. [00:05:25] Whatever the reason, God has a purpose. [00:05:28] Verse 25. And finally, I'm going to finish up with this. [00:05:32] He that is of a proud heart stirreth up strife, which is those major arguments. But he that putteth his trust in the Lord shall be made fat. [00:05:43] Again. Strive for those major arguments. So those that have a proud heart, they're going to cause more angry arguments. If you find yourself causing a lot of arguments, it's on you. [00:05:57] It's a proud heart. Change your mind, change your actions, get fat in the Lord, which is trusting in God. Start to put your trust into things that mean something. [00:06:07] But put your trust in something that will actually change your life and make your life better. [00:06:13] And that's believing and that's spiritually changing your mind and reinventing your thoughts. Because there's a perfect peace that comes from that. Have a beautiful day. Pray the big prayers again. Lift everything up in the name of Jesus Christ. When you pray, you pray to God. Never to Jesus Christ. It won't go anywhere. You pray to God. Lifting it up in the name of Jesus Christ. Have a great day. God bless you and your family. I'll talk to you tomorrow. [00:06:48] Well, Heavenly Father, thank you so much just for everything you do for us. I pray for today that it's a great day. And I thank you for always covering everything. Any mistake, anything that happens. It's not right that you. You cover our steps, that. That everything works for good. And I thank you for the people that you've put around us. I thank you for the new business and that you just continually bless Todd and that that's just a blessing and just. I'm just thankful for the moments of my life and the moments of the life of people that I'm surrounded by. Father, I thank you for your son, that he died for us, that we can live this way. And I always give you thanks for him. And just for a great day, I lift up a great day to you in the name of my Lord and Sav Jesus.
